With this awl from Prym you can poke holes in your leather or widen existing holes. This is super practical for pre-punching the holes for sewing by hand for your own small leather projects or for enlarging existing holes in thicker and denser leather to make sewing with the saddle stitch easier. The ergonomic awl from Prym feels great in the hand and has a soft and wide handle, so that several holes in a row can be pierced easily.
It is best to use a cork block at least 2 cm thick (e.g. trivets or several layers of craft cork laid on top of each other) or soft wood as a base.
